Helicopter Route Coordination
Low altitude routes have been established for Mercy helicopters to permit travel to outlying facilities while IFR. Helicopters inbound from the Albia or Centerville area can be routed via an east route ( most direct), or a west route. The issue is: How will we know which route the helicopter is cleared if the flight progress strip doesn't clearly indicate this? What procedures if any, or LOA changes need to be made?
